“Quality of Life is Not about Money.
It’s about Freedom of Choice.”
It’s about getting up when you are done sleeping.
It’s about never missing a family/friends event.
It’s about working with the people you like, the ones who help you become a better version of yourself.
Make sense?
Hello, My Friend, I’m Terry Petrovick.
I appreciate you stopping by my blog and thanks for checking out my story.
I don’t know where you are in your life OR where you want to go, but if you are looking for a way to create a better quality of life, I can help you.
If you are like most people in the home based business profession, you have BIG dreams and goals. You want more for yourself and your family.
Right?
But, there is so much noise online and offline about being an entrepreneur in the home based business profession it’s confusing and downright overwhelming.
I’ve been there.
I get it.
Let me take you behind the curtain.
You will soon discover that I’m a tell it like it is kinda guy.
I REALLY don’t like the games people play, the fake news they create or the hype that sometimes goes along with the home based business industry.
I must say that I LOVE the home based business profession because it has given me my life back. Today, I have total freedom of choice.
A dude with no vision.
Way back when I was in college, I was in the partying scene and my grades were pretty bad. I had no vision for a future and was living day by day.
Then my life changed.
It was actually a blind date that I didn’t want to go on…
…but then I fell in love.
(Amy and I have been together now for about 40 years and she is still my girlfriend)
Before long, I created a new vision for myself, got serious about life, school, and got straight A’s.
IBM hired me while I was still a senior at NC State University then off I went into the corporate world to make my dreams come true.
I spent 14 years in the software industry, I was earning six figures, had two kids and then it happened.
It was a Saturday morning, and my heart got broken…
My 8 yr old son Matt asked me, “Dad, do you still love me?”
Click the video below to meet my family and watch this story unfold…(tissues needed).
Today, Matt is 33 and Christina is 35.
They are amazing, well-grounded adults because my wife, Amy, and I got to spend so much time with them as they were growing up.
Matt went on to college at East Carolina University which is known for being one of the biggest party schools in the southeast. I taught him my lessons and to have a philosophy of working hard and playing hard. He took it to the max. He became a cheerleader his senior year which I couldn’t believe, we all had so much fun because of it.
Unlike his dad, he was on the honor roll the whole time.
He had the entrepreneurial bug, too, he started a Valet Trash pickup business while in school which was a nice add-on for his resume.
He went on to get his MBA.
Interestingly enough, Matt now works at IBM in outside sales and is on the fast track. He got his work ethic from me and his amazing people skills from his mama. He is the best of both of us.
Acapulco changed everything.
Over the years, I have earned many incentive trips. Alaska, Hawaii, Caribean cruises, all-inclusive resorts, you name it.
When Christina was a senior in high school she met a guy on one of those trips. The destination was Acapulco. This 19-year-old guy who was 19 was earning $7,000 per month in our company.
Her eyes got opened to the possibilities of the network marketing profession.
Can you imagine being 19 and make that type of income?
Now, prior to going on that trip, Christina had been accepted to the Art School at East Carolina University.
If you know anything about personality types, Matt was clearly the analytical type and his sister was the social type. She was a “where’s the party” type if you know what I mean. Ok, she’s a little like her dad. lol
She asked us if she could defer college. We agreed and Christina went full time into network marketing right out of high school.
At age 19, she earned over $60,000 in her first year of doing network marketing. And yes, she did have help from her daddy.
She was earning more money in her “MLM thing” than her private school teachers. She made her Papa proud!
Today, Christina is a full-time wife and mom.
Her first son, George Sebastion (we call him Bash) was born with a very rare condition called Arthrogryposis.
It is a congenital disorder that is characterized by multiple joint contractures, muscle weakness, and fibrosis. He is a big reason why I work as hard as I do.
If you want to be inspired, check his story out at http://BashHagelin.com
Bash has a little brother today, his name is Ace, as in the ace of hearts. Ace is just 5 months old as of July 2, 2018.
I so look forward to having fun with these little guys.
Camp YaBe 2017
Every year Amy (YaYa) and I (BeBe) have Bash for a week or so. Our goal is to create as many memories as possible. Here’s a glimpse of last year’s fun!
The broken heart came back to life.
I got into the software industry long ago because my dad told me that is where the money is. It was never about doing what I loved or was passionate about. (BIG mistake)
What I have always loved is being with people and making them laugh.
Heck, when I was 6 years old my nickname was “Sunshine” because I was always smiling and having fun.
It was the defining moment when Matt broke my heart that truly changed my life and got my life back on track.
It was a time for me to be me.
A time to live my purpose and passion.
There were bumps along the road.
Over the 20+ years that I have been working at home, I’ve pretty much made every mistake there is in the book.
In fact, I say I am going to teach a course and I’m going to call it, “How to Alienate ALL Your Friends and Family and Become a Person of Zero Influence and still come out on top!” lol
So, if you are not having the success you want, feel stuck or feeling alone with your dreams and goals, I can relate because I’ve been there. You have to learn to be OK with other people judging you and talking about you behind your back.
I taught my kids a long time ago, what other people think of you is none of your business.
As long as you stay true to yourself, take action and have integrity, it will all work out.
My Friend, I know I can help you catch that dream you have been chasing.
You have to realize that the ONLY difference between you and the people who are more successful than you are skills that you have not mastered YET.
You must create a vision for yourself that pulls you forward. You must invest in yourself and seek out the people who can help equip you for the success that you are looking for.
ADHD and Dyslexia were no match.
I think I have always had ADHD and dyslexia. My parents tried to help me as best they could. But reading and comprehension were never easy for me. I could read a page in a book and retain nothing at all.
In middle school, they put me into a speed reading class. I think all that happened is I got confused twice as fast. 🙂
My vision for a better future PULLED me forward. It gave me the grit I needed to make it happen.
I struggled with believing in myself. I felt I was never good enough.
Controlling my thinking was a challenge, much of this was because of my early childhood beliefs and programming from my dad who always looked for the negative.
I remember like it was yesterday when I told him I was being recognized for earning over one million dollars. His response was, “I can’t image how much money you are going to have to pay in taxes!”
I was like, Dad, come on throw me a bone would you!
Then I remembered that I should not expect him to be different than he is.
This is one of the reasons I LOVE personal development so much.
I need it.
Everyday!
One of my coaches told me once, “Terry, for things to change. You have to change. For things to get better, you must get better.”
That hurt my ego a little but it was the truth.
I am constantly working on myself.

The day Matt broke my heart was like the day I decided I wanted an amazing life for Amy and me.
A switch got flipped.
And I went to work.
It can happen to you, too.
As I have coached people over the years, some people express frustration with their check.
My response is always the same.
“Your check is simply a reflection of your contribution to the marketplace.”
It is a simple truth.
For years I felt like I was spinning my wheels and getting nowhere fast.
I just did not enjoy my journey because I was always chasing success.
I did not focus on being grateful and was always looking for the milestone, award or achievement. Still seeking approval from others, perhaps I was looking for that attaboy.
Yea, I’m a weirdo.
And then I stumbled on to the movement that is taking place in the world of positive psychology around happiness, gratitude, random acts of kindness, and fulfillment.
Now, I’m a happy weirdo.
Being normal is overrated. 🙂
Recently, I led a group in our community and our goal was to get everyone to do one random act of kindness every day for 30 days.
This was so much fun for everyone involved!
Every card you will see in the video below represented how people were going to spread happiness in their world.
Pulled like a magnet to steel.
It was my vision for my family that pulled me forward and kept me in the game.
As a result, I’ve developed teams of over 40,000 reps in 25 countries. Helped tens of thousands of people around the world.
I am humbled that some of my students have earned over $1,000,000 working with their little home based business.
I was asked to host a show on the Home Business Radio Network with other top leaders in our profession. I named my show “Straight Talk” and we had listeners in 120 countries. It was a wonderful opportunity to pay it forward and give back to the people and profession that gave me so much.
My edge for success.
I could not have created the quality of life that I have today without my coaches over the years. I am so grateful to each and every one of them.
My best coach and fan without a doubt is my hero, Amy.
We’ve been married for 36 years. And we are thrilled about the future that lies in front of us.
For me, it has always been about family first. It is what got me into this profession many years ago.
If you had a magic wand…
If you had a magic wand and you could create the lifestyle of your dreams, what would that look like?
Now is your time to step into your personal power, my friend.
Don’t play small.
Over the years, I’ve coached people from all walks of life and my guess is if you are teachable and coachable I can help you, too.

Equipping people for success has become my passion.
Everyone is different and yet everyone is the same.
I love helping people to figure out ‘who’ they want to be.
Once we do this, then we can determine their target market and how to reach them.
While we often talk about generating more leads, making more sales and recruiting more reps, what everyone REALLY wants to know is how to create the quality of life they have dreamed of.
I did it.
I know I can help YOU do it, too.
If this resonates with you in any way, I want to invite you to explore the possibilities of having me as your coach.
Just click here and complete the coaching form (be brutally honest) and we’ll see if there is a fit.
Fair enough?
Live Happy, Stay Young, Inspire Others!
