Accountability means accepting full responsibility for the consequences of our actions, and facing ourselves with the highest
degree of integrity.

Accountability is not an easy challenge. It requires us to exit our comfort zones, and to fully recognize all of our hidden motives,
agendas, and excuses. In a society that tends to focus on blaming the other guy, it becomes increasingly important for the individual to take responsibility for his/her own thoughts and deeds.

Universal law states that for every action there is an equal reaction.  Those that recognize this fully appreciate the responsibility for
every thought, word, and action they take. With this wisdom comes forethought, restraint, and awareness of intention. These moments of honesty and ownership give a sense of empowerment that can’t be found in continually playing the role of victim. Although it can be difficult to face situations with total honesty, it feels good when we do. Accountability is the first large step in reclaiming personal power and freedom.

Exercise:

Pay attention to an area where you have not accepted full accountability for your actions (and we all have at least one if we
are honest).

How have your thoughts shaped your intentions and actions?

Reflect on this and then make a statement accepting accountability for your role in this. How does this action affect you emotionally and spiritually? Have you allowed others to have power over you? Even when we are wronged by others, we have a choice to do
the right thing, or to justify the wrong ones.

Rarely do I make 2 posts in the same day. But, after watch the video about Dick and Rick Hoyt I just had to. You really can do what ever you decide you want to do.

Make no excuses. Make the decision to live your purpose and be VERY passionate about that.

Refining metals such as Gold requires continuous cycles of repeated
pressure and heat that filters away impurities and allows the metals
to shine with clarity. In our lives, it is often our “mistakes” and
more difficult lessons that refine us. These strenuous processes draw
out our finest qualities, the strengths and wisdom that make us shine.

Too often we focus on perceived impurties, rather than keeping our
sight focused on the goal of growth. When we focus on all that we see
as “wrong” we take energy away that can be devoted to building on our
strengths. It is this personal refinement process that allows us to
reach our full potential. We can learn and be built up by our
mistakes and trials, or we can crumble under the pressure.

Exercise:

Look deeply into the experiences of your life that have helped you
the most. What was the experience? How did you handle it? What did
you learn from it afterwords? How has this experience effected you:
was it used as a learning growing experience? Was it pushed aside or
dealt with through judgment or harshness? Was this experience used
to build you up or did it tear you down? How can you use these
experiences to further refine your character?

Prosperity is a state of being not a state of having. One does not
attain prosperity, rather it is a choice. There are plenty of
materially wealthy people in the midst of spiritual poverty.

The next time you start to focus on all the things others have that
you can’t afford, or can’t otherwise acquire, remember that you can
still choose prosperity by focusing on all the richness of your life
as it is. The essential ingredients of a full and meaningful life
are the things that can not be taken from you.

Focus on your blessings and prosperity will make itself known in your
life in all its various forms.

Exercise:

Focus on all the prosperity in your life. Share your prosperity with
others who need your encouragement. Know that the wealth you put out
will come back to you ten fold. Make a list of all the essentials of
life that can not be lost and show gratitude.

Your Potential

Limitless Possibilities are yours. Acknowledge your own self worth,
free of judgments and restrictions. The only things we can’t do are
the one’s we believe we can’t. Each new moment in your life is
enriched with the fullest potential.

Do your best to make the most out of every opportunity presented to
you today. Know that achieving your fullest potential means
willingness to accept some risks. Attachment to comfort zones and
unvarying day to day routines can keep us stagnant, because they don’t
allow us the growth that comes through change. When we make an effort
to stay conscious of the potential for growth, we take less for
granted. Move forward, now, without looking back. When we continually
look backwards we stop walking, losing the rich potential of the
present moment.

Exercise

Today’s exercise is a visualization exercise.
Envision yourself walking along your own unique path. Enjoy the
stroll, paying attention to all that is around you as you walk. What
do you see? What do you hear? Don’t rush, take a nice leisurely
stroll. How does what you see affect your mood? Your outlook? You
are in control of this walk. It is in these moments of silence and
full and present awareness that we connect truly to our own soul and
commune with the divine

Power:

Power is a force that is often misperceived. Our true power lies
within us at our source, and is not dependent on argument, or
subjecting ones will onto another. True power comes from a place of
peace and gentleness. All of us have power beyond measure; it is what
we choose to do with it that determines its value.

True power is non-imposing; it does not make demands, or instill
fear. True power comes from a peaceful place, deep within the soul.
The truly powerful spend their lives seeking their source,
learning to embrace this spiritual energy with humility and respect.
True power is not boisterous; those in possession of it often don’t
realize they are using it. On the other hand, those who
seek power by the wrong methods are often led into chaos. Many times
they drag others around them down with them. When we do
the right thing as opposed to the easiest or most self-serving thing,
we become the living examples of true power, the only genuine power
that exists.

Exercise:

Use your personal power as the gift that it is, and
do something today that benefits the greater good. This doesn’t have
to be a huge momentous event, remember power is subtle not
overbearing. Spend time in prayer, or plant a tree, or help your
neighbor. Reflect on the greatness harnessed in the seemingly
simplest of activities and reflect on what this means to you…
