If you are in an MLM, Network Marketing or a Direct Sales company then today’s topic is for you.  It is for those of you who attend networking groups on a regular basis.

You know the kind I’m talking about, BNI group (Business Network International), Lead Exchange Groups or even Chamber meetings.  These same principles apply to building your business online especially if you are doing video marketing. What you are going to learn is…

How to Introduce Yourself

What typically happens at these networking events?

Everyone sits around a table, the chairperson says this is how to introduce yourself, say your name, company name and what you do.

It starts like this…

“Hi my name is Joe Smith I own Joe Smith cleaning company. For 13 years we have been cleaning home and offices in the area. We pride ourselves (he says this with zero enthusiasm) in using no chemicals and we come to your house rain or shine.”

The next person, sitting down says, “My name is Phyllis Brown, and I work with the Fat Loss Juice.” (At this point, you see people playing with their blackberries and iPhones not paying any attention to her). She continues by saying, “Fat Loss Juice has been in business for 35 years and we help people with our yummy juices, shakes and cookies. A good referral for me is someone who wants to lose weight.”

The next person starts with “My name is Tom Deck, and I work with …” at this point you are totally bored out of your mind!

This goes on for 20 people…and no one is paying attention! Because no one knows how to introduce yourself.

What’s the problem here? 

You have seen this when people market online too.  They get one of these training system and self replicated websites that they have seen many times there is nothing new!

EVERYONE IS SOUNDS THE SAME!

You need to understand that sameness will kill you.

Learn how to introduce yourself in a creative and memorable way.

You want to stand out don’t you?

In fact you want to be always remembered as that creative guy or gal.

How do you do that?

You do what everyone is not doing.

Let’s look back at what people were doing in our scenario…they were told this is how to introduce yourself (in the wrong way, don’t be a sheep and flow the herd..lol), they were all sitting down, they all used the same basic script or formula, it is the one they use every week, week after week hoping to burn it into people’s mind. As soon as the person before them finishes they jump in. And worst of all they lack enthusiasm.

I’m sure all of these people are great people they just lack any creative communication skills.

How do you set yourself apart?

Since everyone sits, you stand up.

Everyone begins with his or her name and business, you end with your name and business.

Most people are dull, be interesting.

Now you area asking me, “Well Terry how in the world do I do that?”

This is where the magic is…

When it is your turn, you stand, you pause to create silence and scan the group, this gets attention then you tell a short story and end with your name and a benefit of your biggest benefit of your product/service. 

This is how to introduce yourself…it flat out works!

Let me give you a couple of examples…

Let’s go back to Phyllis the Fat Loss Juice lady.

It is her turn, she stands up, pauses and scans the room “It was 8am on July 3^rd 2010, I was packing for a trip to the beach. I tried my bathing suit on from last year, (she pauses and looks down) to my surprise I could barely get into it to. It was not pretty. From that day forward I vowed that I would get back to a size 2. I did it.  My name is Phyllis Brown, and help people look, trim and sexy by shedding their fat.”

Now you might be saying but wait she did not mention the company name or the products!  Well the truth is people don’t care about that they care about what those things can do for them.

Here’s another example, this one is focus on collecting silver coins. Remember you stand up pause and scan then say something like this…

“The year is 1966.  In 1966 you could have purchased a drop dead gorgeous candy apple red mustang for $2500 paper dollars or 2500 silver dollars. But the year is 2012. 2500 paper dollars can buy you what? A nice set of tires? Perhaps a down payment?  (you let out a disgusting laugh and shake your head left to right) Those same 2500 “silver dollars” could get you 3 loaded Mustangs plus a luxury cruise around the world! My name is Terry Petrovick and I show people how to create, collect and preserve their wealth with silver and gold coins.”

Can you see how attention getting that is?

Remember when it comes to how to introduce yourself, do it in a memorable way .  You do this by telling a story to get into people’s emotions and imaginations and be sure to end with the biggest benefit of your product or service.

And if you go to the same groups every week change up your stories.  Believe me you will set yourself a part and you will getting more leads and having more quality conversations than ever before.

When you learn how to introduce yourself in a memorable way, people will consistently ask you for your business card because you have want they want!

7 Minutes to a Remarkable Life?

Could it really be possible to create a remarkable life 7 minutes at a time?

The answer is yes!

As we wrap up 2011 and reflect what we have accomplished or perhaps a better question is what have we not accomplished but intended to accomplish?

We really need to stop and evaluate where we are spending our time and is that investment in time fulfilling us and taking us closer to creating the remarkable we truly desire?

Answering “Yes” is what will make you happy.

A couple of weeks ago I received my executive book summary of  “The 7 Minute Solution” where Darren Hardy reviews the top business books.

I was very intrigued.

I immediately went to amazon.com and purchased the book.

By the way this was just released December 27, 2011.

Here’s what I discovered…

This is the perfect book for any one who wants to be fulfilled with their life.

I discovered that this book while in not tactical for building a network marketing organization or home business has everything to do with building a loyal team.

As a leader, I feel it is our job to lead people and to assist people to create a remarkable life…whatever that means to the individual.

Here are a few key questions that really caught my attention. I have added some comments to tie them into our business.

1) Are you really aware of what you want from your life (or business)?
Life will give you exactly what you demand, but first you must clarify your ideas in writing and create an action plan.

2) Are you motivated?
Know the force that pushes you to stretch yourself for your goals. Create 90-day goals and then break down into mini goals and you will experience the thrill of success more often.

3) Are you growing and Learning?
Your brain has incredible potential but is functions on a use it or lose it basis. Growth is critical because it ignites your enthusiasm for letting go of old habits. (Hmmm am I talking to you now?)

4) Are you engaged?
Are you focused on your highest pay off activities (prospecting, presenting, following up and enrolling) or are you getting distracted?

5) Are you persevering?
Making significant changes requires perseverance. Why? Bad habits are hard to break. Sometimes by shifting our language or how we spend our time and who we spend our time with can yield massive breakthroughs.

6) Are you using your talents?
When you focus on your strengths, for example building relationships as opposed to trying to learn all the online marketing strategies you will build your team faster and become profitable more quickly.

7) Are you living with faith and belief?
Faith and belief compels you to look beyond yourself, to reach out to others and give of yourself.  Knowing that your business and products help others are key to you staying in the game and developing a business that will lead to a 6 or 7 figure income.

As you can see these questions really apply to everyone no matter what their profession.

At the end of the day, my belief is that we MUST be consciously aware of what we truly desire and focus all of our energy on accomplishing that.

3 Tactics For Getting You New Leads Every Day

Lead generation have been around forever… way before the Internet people relied on their hustle to find new prospects for their business.

What you are going to learn about today are 3 proven tactics for lead generation.

Get new leads every day!

I have a question for you…

Are you a hoper or a hustler?

In his book “Crush It!: Why NOW Is the Time to Cash In on Your Passion” Gary Vanderchuk talks about having hustle, busting your butt and pushing yourself to make it happen.

It is a great book that talks a lot about your self-discipline and commitment for success. I highly recommend it.

Tactic 1: Work Expos

In my past I have done all kinds of Expos and Trade Shows and you know what?

These are taking place all year long. Today you can find Christmas Shows, Women’s Shows then there are Home & Garden Shows and Spring Shows and don’t forget the Car Shows, Boat Shows and Fishing Shows and Guns Shows. I could go on but you get the point I’m sure.

I have worked these as an exhibitor and attendee. I stopped spending money on expensive booths and just focused on talking to the exhibitors.

Why?

The exhibitors are hungry and the attendees were typically just curious.

I don’t know about you but I’m looking for motivated people with ambition, not tire kickers who have an interest but no commitment.

Talk to everyone, set a goal to collect X business cards before you come home. This approach is easy to do and yes, easy not to do. I always carry a pad just in case people do not have business cards. You must be prepared.

Remember, you are a hustler right?

Tactic 2: Use Sizzle Cards

A sizzle card could be a business card, a post–it note or a drop card that has a compelling headline and a phone number to call on it. This approach does require a minimal investment.

An example headline is “Earn $250,000/year from home. Don’t believe it don’t call. 1-800-xxx-xxxx”.

A great place to direct all these leads is to a Google voice mail. (it’s free)

You can do a Google search to find out how to set one of these up.

When you follow up and call the prospect, remember you are the one interviewing them. Be sure they qualify for your time.

Tactic 3: Business Card Collecting

This is as easy as it sounds. Just go around your area and collect as many business cards as possible.

It is really easy to get 20+ of these per day.

You can find them on cork boards, in restaurants, counter tops, styling salons, barbershops, auto shops, and coffee shops.

The fact is anyone who puts his or her business card out is looking for more income!

These people are motivated you just have to find out if they are open to look at what you have to offer.

How to Talk to Leads?

I’ve done 2-hour workshops on this alone.

Here’s a successful dialog I use…
“Hi (their first name), I picked up your card today and I wanted to ask you a quick question, would that be ok? (I always like to ask for permission as opposed to just talking at them. They always say yes.) Are you open to a side project that doesn’t interfere with what you are currently doing? If you are interested I can get you some info, in not no big deal.”

It is simply a casual question…are you open?

Then you send them to a website or invite them to a meeting or whatever you would like for them to see.

All of these 3 approaches will work if you work them.

Consistency is key to your success. AND all or these require any technical or Internet skills.

They are simple and they are duplicable.

Remember do NOT be attached to the outcome of these conversations.

How to Create a Social Media Marketing Schedule that Works

It’s easy to get into social media for the wrong reasons and to post too much or too little. Here’s how to balance out your social media efforts.

Why have you joined the social media world?

Are you ego based or interaction based? Are you real or automated?

What is your desired outcome?

Which social networks should you be active in?

Some people don’t want to engage in the conversation. They simply collect followers and friends in order to have bragging rights every time they collect another thousand.

But connecting, following or befriending just anyone dilutes your influence and standing among those in your audience.

Others join because they feel they must. They spend a few days setting up their profiles and then abandon them when other tasks call.

The real motivation should be connection.

Connecting with like-minded people, people who are your ideal prospect or ideal business partner is what will grow your business.

Think about how you can add value to the community.  This is called social equity.

Make it about your followers, not about you and your agenda. Don’t be desperate or spammy.  Don’t always be pitching your products or business. Your goal should be to educate, enlighten, entertain and engage your followers.

Some people get involved and hurt themselves…do you know anyone like this?  Let’s look at blogging…

If someone does not regularly post to their blog for weeks at a time, what message do they give the reader? Inconsistent, uncommitted, a part timer.

Probably not the image you really want to portray.

Bloggers like this are distracted, disorganized, sidetracked or perhaps overworked. There’s no method to their madness. Have you seen blogs like this?

Your blogging goal should be consistent, compelling and informative.

Followers in the social networking community are fragile. Therefore you make the commitment to blog if you get started. People will follow a trail of dependable, exciting, instructive trainings. But once the trail goes cold, they’re gone and likely never to return.

Develop your social networking schedule.

It should not run your life but does keep you accountable. The goal should be consistency. Choose a the social networks you want to play in then create schedule and stay the course for at least six months. As you find success, you can slowly grow your social networking persona.

Be sure you have your avatar set up. What’s a avatar it is the image of you that shows up when you leave blog comments.  You can learn more here.

Here’s a sample social networking agenda that you can use until you get your own groove.

Twice Daily in the Morning and Afternoon

• Check Twitter via a program like HootSuite. Respond when necessary. Follow the @replies that make sense.
• Check LinkedIn. Reply to emails and comments when appropriate.
• Scan Twitter followers for relevant conversations to join.
• Check your business’s Facebook Page for questions and respond when necessary.
• Scan Google Alerts for brand and company mentions. Respond as appropriate.

Weekly or on Weekends

• Build Twitter Lists to better organize ongoing discussions and special interest groups. Set up saved searches in Hootsuite to find out if people are talking about you or your company.
• Scan LinkedIn questions from network connections and respond when appropriate.
• Catch up on LinkedIn discussions. Add to discussion when appropriate.
• Send LinkedIn invitations to connect with clients when beginning a new assignment.
• Ask for LinkedIn recommendation after successfully completing a project or engagement.
• Add new content to Facebook like videos or photos.
• Think of ways to repurpose this content and energy to reach a larger audience with the social networking gospel.
• Keep an eye open for new social networking venues, tools, and functionality that will make the social networking experience more enjoyable and easier to traverse.
• Identify new social networking influencers and build relationships where appropriate.

Through the Week

• Mondays: Schedule tweets through HootSuite to go out three times per day at regular intervals.
• Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays: Join one hot trend conversation on Twitter, if appropriate, and add new content to Facebook (new items you are selling, photos, discounts and other promotions).
• Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays: write a new blog post. respond to blog comments.
• Fridays: Check traffic at your blog or website.

Obviously, your daily social networking to-do list will be much different, given your available time and commitments. Just be sure to make the schedule livable. If it’s not working, change it. Keep making modifications until it works for you.

Lessons From a Wanna Be Million Dollar Earner in 1998

Yesterday I got the bug to clean part of my office closet.  I was surprised at the amount of junk I had saved.

I was in major throwaway mode. To my delight, I found some real gems that I think you and I both can learn from.

In 1998, I was at this point in my network marketing career where I had been in involved in about 4 companies in 4 years.  OUCH!

We were tapping into the savings that we set aside for our kid’s college education and Amy, my wife told me to get a ‘real job’ again.

…I had caught the MLM lifestyle bug, I had a dream to be free…

One of my problems was I had met people who had earned millions of dollars in the industry…I just knew in my gut that I could too…but I just didn’t have my act together.

For 17 years I have been building businesses online and over the phone.

I love doing this.

Actually what I love is working in my jeans and t-shirt, getting up when I’m done sleeping and spending lots of time with my family.

I recently made a decision to raise my bar.

To do that I needed expand my social network, create more friends and grow my business on a local level.

I tell people all the time, “Sometimes you have to get comfortable being uncomfortable to get to that next level of success.”

It really is true and I’m the kind of guy that walks his talk.

All this started when I realized I have thousands of friends online but my local social circle was more like a dot.  LOL!

With that decision made, it was time to get out of my cave at home and connect with people face to face.

Don’t get me wrong, I still love the online marketing and networking. I will always do that.  The was right for me to go to the level next of business success and to create rich personal relationships.

Last night, I went to a “Speed Networking Event”.

What is speed networking?  It is where you get to have a conversation to another person for 5 minutes.

It is the wham-bam-thank-you-mam approach to meeting people.  A little crude I know, but you get the point.  LOL

I was pretty surprised at the number of great people I met in that short amount of time. I now have follow up appointments with several great new contacts.

Success in business is about making connections and seeing if you can help the other person become more successful…whatever that means to them.

If you look at my desk today, it is covered with business cards.

Or is it?

I actually see it as a sea of new possibilities and friends.

Isn’t it true that we enjoy doing business with people that we know like and trust?

You bet it is!

This particular group-networking event was held at a Capital City Club downtown Raleigh, NC.   It is a wonderful community of business professionals who I do not know.

Allow me to ask you a bold question?

How serious are you about expanding your network and growing your business?

Would you hire or fire you based on your prospecting ability and networking actions?

Is it time for you to show up differently?

Whether you build offline or online, it is all about making contacts, prospecting, building relationships, solving problems and working your business.

After all it is called “Net-Working” right?

It is not called “Net-Goofing Off”.

Take home message

Put the work and discipline back in your networking.

When you do, you might have a messy desk littered with business cards which might just yield you a bountiful harvest.

Find a Speed Networking Event in your area.  If you can’t then start one!

And yes, lots of people who are not interested in you, your product or business and that my friend is perfectly normal.  In fact, it is the way it is supposed to be.

1 on 1 Relationship Meeting Gone Bad…lol

This is kind a funny and kind of sad story at the same time.

But, most of all it is a very good lesson.

A lesson on how not to do a 1 on 1 relationship building meeting.

If you do local networking or attend local networking event then you will want to pay attention to this.

I sincerely hope that you never do this or experience this.  It was my intention to get to know a person that I met at a local leads group.  We agreed to meet so we could get to know one another…or so I thought.

Watch the video and I will share this enlightening encounter.

Business relationship in network marketing and any business for that manner are built on two communications and trust.  When one party does not follow these guideline things never work out.

During this meeting I almost got up twice and walked away.  I probably should have, however I was trying my best to be respectful.

As I reflect on this meeting I almost did not want to share it then thought you or someone you know might benefit from this.

Remember to set yourself apart from the pack and as Dale Carnegie says ‘take a sincere interest’ in the other person.

In today’s failing economy, many people are beginning to realize that they can’t count on the government or their 9 to 5 job any more for financial security.

The result is tens of thousands of people are getting involved in network marketing, MLM or direct sales.

But, once you are “in” how do you make a full time income?

The fact is most people fail because they do not treat it as a serious business. Their financial investment to get started is low and so is their commitment to succeed.

But, let’s say you are serious and you work hard, how do you make it?

I believe there is only one way to make this happen…and it is to develop a team of solid leaders that will be with you for the long haul.

Your first step is to take responsibility and to develop yourself as a leader then search for other who want what you want and will stay the course.

Leaders = Leveraged Income

I don’t care what business you are in, your income will be a reflection of the leaders you have in your business. This can be a scary thought but with time and dedicate you can solve it.

Start thinking leadership development!

Let go of how much income you want to make and shift that to how many leaders you will need to create it.  Then create your plan to develop your leaders.

It is important to know many people will express an interest; and a few will actually do what they say they are going to do.  This OK if you expect it.

What Defines an Business Leader?

1. They have a clear vision of what they intend to accomplish.
2. They have created a project and a specific plan for its attainment.
3. They are self-motivated by their vision and maintain their own enthusiasm, persistence, attitude, and most importantly, their actions.
4. They produce their intended results.

Until you have someone who meets these four criteria, you do not have a leader.

You may have a nice person who works hard and wants very much to be successful. You may even have someone who will do everything you ask.

However, until they consistently produce from their own motivation, they cannot be counted on for leadership.

Focus on developing yourself as a powerful leader, then and only then will you attract powerful leaders to your organization.

Developing a Loyal Leadership Team

The community that you develop from the leaders to the brand new person must have a long-term vision, they must expect that the business will not be perfect and people will second-guess them.  You must create a mindset of keeping the main thing the main thing.

Your team must focus on selling the product and sponsoring every month—no matter what. The key to accomplishing this lies with your leaders.

Leadership and relationships are the glue that holds the organization together.

So how do you earn and keep leader loyalty, and not die in the process?

When your focus is on finding and developing leaders in this fashion, what you will build are lasting friendships, loyal partnerships and a true Leverage Income that you can count on to secure your financial future.

The Best Free Traffic Strategies

Everyone wants more traffic.  Free traffic means more leads and this is a wonderful thing.

There are many free traffic strategies that you can use to start generating more mlm leads for your business.

The root of many of these begins in the world of Social Media where value based content is king.

Marketing online especially in the area of social media is about giving value. This is sometimes referred to as social equity.

It is based on the principle of valuable content + your links = traffic and leads.

The easiest place to begin is with Facebook.com.

There are other social networks like: twitter.com, youtube.com and digg.com and literally hundreds of others but these can get complicated.

It is important, if you are just getting started to keep it simple.

Pick one of these approaches and master it.

What do I mean by master it?

Stick with it until you are generating 10+ leads per day.

The challenge most people have (I know this from personal experience when I got started) is they jump around from approach to approach and never having success.

So, they try something else then something else, then something else…

What I have learned is… you are much better off to stay the course and figure one approach out.

AVOID the temptation to go after the next shinny object or marketing strategy that someone said who be so easy to generate 50 leads per day.

The old saying, “If it sounds too good to be true it probably is.” This is very true in the world of online marketing and mlm lead generation.

Here are a couple of basic rules for your Facebook marketing:

• Give valuable information
• Never ask a new friend to review your links
• Become recognized as a leader
• Don’t play games like Farmville or Mafia Wars
• Be entertaining and enlightening
• Follow the 95/5 rule, 95% serves others 5% serves you
• Create interaction
• Be yourself and focus on helping others

Did you know Facebook now has over 733,000,000 users?

This brings me to another question… Do you know who your ideal prospect is?

Without know this, you will have a difficult time finding and attracting them to your sales funnels or capture pages.

Be sure to figure out what Groups in Facebook your ideal prospect hangs out in. Start interacting and helping people with their problems.  Give value to the community.

Take the time now to define (in detail) your ideal prospect. Know who you are looking for, you can thank me later.

As you can begin to see, there are MASSIVE opportunities in Facebook alone for you to attract a flood of free leads.

Facebook gives you the ability to do video marketing, article marketing, even Per Per Click marketing.

Facebook marketing is the future of business.  Develop your skills here and you will be able to create major influence and contribution to your ideal prospects.  They will begin contacting you because you have set yourself apart from the pack and offer incredible value to their life.

4 Causes of MLM Failure

If you are struggling in your business or you simply are not where you want to be, it is probably because of your thinking.

OUCH!

Like it or not, your life and business is a reflection of your decisions.

The good news/bad news about this business is it is very in your face when it comes to success.

Your income is a reflection of your contribution of your business and product movement to the market place.

All too often people live in their head; they focus on what is not working instead of focusing on what they can do to create the desired result.

They do not ask for help because their ego is getting in the way.

I know, I have been there too.

I’ve been in the MLM business now for 17 years. And during that time you can believe I’ve experienced my fair share of challenges.

I have found to overcome challenges it is best to look them square in the eye and face them head on.

Here are the 4 causes that if not managed properly will squelch our financial dreams or worse yet, kill them.

1)   lack of clearly defined goals

2)   an opportunity we are enrolled in but not passionately engaged in

3)   an overreaction to negative actions and opinions

4)   the inability to stay disciplined with the work required

No matter where you are, where you have been, what counts most is where you are going.

You must adopt an “It’s Now or Never” attitude and get rid of your ‘stinking thinking’ as Zig Zigler says.

Dealing with challenges

Every entrepreneur faces challenges.

Every job has its challenges.

I call this life.

It is not what happens to you, it is how you react or handle the challenges that count.  Here’s a great post on that topic. And trust me, the universe will test your conviction of your dreams and goals.

Everyone in MLM or network marketing experiences the frustrations of putting time into people who say they want success but simply do not follow through.

You know the reps who say they will come to a meeting or a conference call with prospects but don’t show up. Or the reps who say they will come to the convention up don’t show up.

Have you ever heard the expression ‘success is 90% showing up’?  Well in MLM or network marketing it is true.

Here’s Why

When you show up at events or on conference calls, you build up your belief little by little every time you hear about the success of others.

Consciously and subconsciously you say to yourself, if they can do it I can too.

Every event, every conference works to charge your believe battery.  And when your battery is fully charged, nothing can stop you.

The lesson that I have learned is to…

Listen to what people say then watch what they do.

Spend your time with people who deserve your time and not with the ones who need your time.

There is no need to get emotional about it, it is just the way it is.

Maturity in MLM, network marketing or any business in the world includes a great deal of tolerance for things that need to be improved, but must be endured until they are improved.

This includes you.

I invite you to learn to be patient with the process and to stay true to your dreams and desires.

If you are ever to reach your goal of financial freedom, you will need to first be realistic about your expectations of others.  Second, you will need to develop yourself emotionally and skillset wise to create the desired outcome.

Lastly, be sure that you are working with a coach weekly if not daily in the beginning or at least in times of struggle to help you stay focused on your highest pay off tasks.

If you don’t have one, hire one.  If you don’t have the money to hire one call your upline support team until you find one that will help you.  If you can’t find one in your current business, then join another business where you will have a great one.

You must start to take responsibility for your success.  No one else will.

Let me wrap this up by sharing what one of my coaches told me when I was stuck at $5,000/month and just could not break through.

She said, “Terry for things to change, you must change.  For things to get better, you must get better.”

We all have our own journey in developing our MLM business. Just don’t fall victim to the 4 causes of MLM Failure.

MLM Leads and Your Sales Funnel

If you are in MLM or network marketing and you want to develop an online business then you better develop your skills so you can create a variety of sales funnels.

It has been proven to be one of the best ways to get unique mlm leads for your business.

It is not as hard as you think it is and much of it can be outsourced if you like.  To learn more about outsourcing read this post on Why You Must Start Outsourcing Your Projects.

What you will see and learn below is that there are endless types of sales funnels to help you get quality prospects for you MLM business or any affiliate marketing that you are doing.

The perfect analogy is fishing.

You have to know what you are fishing for in order to know what bait to use. Use the wrong bait and the fish will never bite.

The same is true for only marketing.

Do not try to be everything to every body.

Know your prospect.

Speak to the pain, problems and wants of your ideal prospect.  Target your message and your conversion will be high.

Your sales funnel must capture the imagination of your mlm prospects.  Otherwise, your page will not convert.

This also means you should always be testing the conversion rates of your pages.

Testing is not the purpose of this post; just know that it is critically important to your overall success.

The Abundance, Prosperity and Gratitude Mindset

These life principles are foundational for a good life.

Yes, there are more but just for today let’s look at how you are applying these to your life.

I begin each day with Gratitude.  

I’m grateful for my health, my financial wealth, the relationships in my life, even the flowers I grow…everything I can think of.

This thinking helps me to get in a state of  prosperity that create an overall feeling of abundance. The result is…a feeling of life is good.

Not only am I grateful for all the good in my life, I am grateful for the challenges. I know they will help me to grow stronger and to become a better person.

I encourage you to try this for a week.  Be aware of the shifts that begin to take place in your life.  It’s pretty cool.

You Can’t Out Give the Universe.

One of the fundamental secrets of prosperity is giving.

From a business perspective, it is the basis of social media marketing.  But, it goes much deeper than that for your life.

I believe that everything in the universe is based on the principle of trading vale for value.  It is my opinion that it is an unbalanced scale. I have found that you send out comes back to you in multiples, many times ten fold.

This holds true for the money you tithe, the love you give, and the good you do.  What have you been giving lately?

Have you ever experienced giving with no expectations of receiving?

Try this…the first time I did this people were shocked. And I must admit I felt really good about helping some one out.

The next time you are in line at the grocery store and you see someone that is struggling to pay for their groceries or look like they are, ask them if you can pay for their groceries.  They will look at you like you are nuts and the cashier will too.

The truth is, it won’t cost you much and it will make you feel like a million bucks.

You will know you made a difference for that person on that day.

There are thousands of ways to make a difference. I don’t really care what they are just do it.

Wealth Creation

You may read about the occasional person who inherits wealth.  But true wealth…the kind that stay with you comes as a result of a very deliberate process.  It does not happen to you …you happen to it.

You become a wealthy person in your mind; then you manifest it on the physical plane by becoming the kind of person that attracts prosperity and abundance to you.

In network marketing we like to call this personal development.  It begins with you seeing yourself as a success already then acting and doing the things that successful people do.

From this day forward, make an effort to come from a place of abundance and prosperity.

Cultivate an attitude of gratitude and you will transform your life and the lives of people around you.

Take a moment right now and write down a list of 20 things that you are grateful for.

Remember, how you show up everyday will either attract people to you and your business or send them the other way.

You get to make the choices and to cultivate your mindset and come from a place of abundance and  prosperity everyday.

You have a choice so, make it a better than a terrific day!

Every MLM or network marketer wants people to join their company.  These days with all the (attempted) networking going on in social media; I’m blown away by the number of people who do it incorrectly.

They make a friend request then immediate have a link that basically says: “Join my company!”

This NEVER Works!

It is WAY TOO EARLY in the relationship to make this offer. And even if it was not, they fail to include the word Because and the Benefit for the prospect.

Because and Benefits

These two words go hand in hand.  You must learn to make them part of your everyday thinking and language if you want to become a master prospector.

Always remember, your job is to always answer the question in the prospects mind, “What’s in it for me?”

Most people simply leave the BECAUSE and the BENEFITS out of the conversation.

This is one difference between the successful MLM leader and the amateur.

Which have you been?

Instead of thinking of yourself and your financial returns, think about your prospect and their potential reasons for joining you in your business.

If you put that word at the end of your offer, it forces you to think of your prospects.

Instead of saying: “Join my business!” why not say, “Join my business BECAUSE you will get access to our co-op advertising campaign that will guarantee you 11 fresh, new leads every week.”

See the difference?

Your prospect will not join your business for your reasons, but will join your business for their reasons.

Make sure you know what those reasons are.  Help them out by giving them strong benefits and specific reasons to join your business.

Here are some examples of reasons you could use, by placing these reasons after the word, BECAUSE:

¨  We have weekly opportunity meetings 15 minutes from your house.

¨  I can give you full-time local support for in-home presentations.

¨  We provide free facebook business building trainings.

¨  We concentrate on product knowledge and sales for a long-term, secure income.

¨  Our upline gives training sessions every Saturday.

¨  The last three people I sponsored, I helped each one earn over $800 a month permanent income.

¨  I will be your full-time employee to assist your growth towards the leadership level.

Just remember the words, BECAUSE and BENEFITS, and you’ll be on your way to better a faster organization.

Simply put…creating an irresistible offer will significantly improve your recruiting!

Facebook Marketing: The 6 Step Process

With over 600 Million people now on Facebook it is an absolute gold mine for every business owner.  If you are in MLM or Network Marketing it is definitely the honey pot.

How sweet is this honey, well let’s just say you can use it to get 50-100 fresh MLM leads per day!  Imagine how successful you will become when you learn how to create fresh new MLM leads through Facebook?

But, while the honey is sweet you WILL get stung if you are reckless and careless.  Most people are lost when it comes to this process.

Here’s the big picture for successful Facebook marketing.  It is a 6 Step process for getting new MLM leads every day.

Step 1 Brand Yourself.

Begin by choosing a niche or an area that you are or would like to be recognized in.  You do not need to be in the guru status, all you need is a passion to learn, practice and teach in this area.

Do not try to be everything to everybody.  Be yourself and share from your perspective.

The central hub is your blog.  If you do not yet have a blog, it is very easy to have someone create a professional looking blog for less than $200.  Check out this post on the blog service I recommend.

Your blog will serve as your “Hub” for all your Social Media and Facebook Marketing.  This means that it will be the place you send all your social media traffic.

It is the “Home Page” of you and your brand and this is why you want to have a professional looking blog.

Make sense so far?

Step 2 Consistently Publish Content.

Some say once a week, I have found that the more consistent you are the more people will see you as a leader and contributor to the profession.

You need to see yourself as a content marketer or creator.

Why?

The more value you infuse into the community the more you will get out of it. You naturally increase your credibility, rapport and trust with your followers.

You don’t have to always write; you can shoot a video or create an audio.  I believe a mix of articles and videos has works best.

Videos only need to be 3-5 minutes and articles 300 to 900 words.

Step 3 Select Key Social Networks.

Select a few networks to build a solid following in. Facebook is best for this but some people like Twitter and YouTube for this.

The key here is every time you create new content; you post it on these sites. Always on Facebook.

Step 4 Ask for Syndication

Syndication means other people are promoting you and your content.  Some people think if someone is not in your primary business that people will not promote you.

This is simply not the case.  You simply need to ask people to do so.

Syndication is the REAL Power of social networking.  This is how you can leverage your influence and reach on Facebook.  You would be shock on how other people’s recommendations will impact your overall following.

If you want to be more pro-active, you can use an automated service like TribePro.  TribePro basically automates this whole process.

Step 5 Build Your List Through Your Blog

All traffic that you create comes through your blog for people to read or watch.  Your  goal is to give tremendous value every step of the way. You need to be informative, inspiring and entertaining.

The syndication efforts that you have will also result in more traffic to your blog.

Now once you have visitors you must create a free gift, something of real value that helps them so they will opt-in to your list.  If you don’t know what to do here, get with your upline and ask for support here.

The goal here is simple…build your list.

This is actually an asset that you control.

Step 6 Wash, Rinse and Repeat!

Repeat Steps 2-5 and email your list with each new post.  Building your list from Facebook and sharing content consistently equals unlimited income potential.

Your content is driving new visitors to your blog and builds a stronger brand for you.

Why?

You are adding value to their life (business) with every post. Your followers are beginning to trust you more and will not only follow you but recommend you and if your experience is like mine; some will want to join your team.
