Taking time to rest benefits body, mind, and spirit. When we give
ourselves some quiet time we are able to regain clarity of thought
and reduce stress. Those who practice different forms of meditation
understand the full range of benefits attained through taking a few
minutes each day to enter contemplative silence. Anyone can benefit
from a similar ritual, even if it means taking only a moment or two
to center yourself by closing your eyes and taking a few deep
cleansing breaths.

It is often in silent moments that our answers appear. When our
minds are racing, or we are going through our day rushed, we soon
forget about the beautiful gift of being fully present and aware.
Relaxing the mind and body a few moments each day brings peace and
clarity to our lives.

Exercise:

Engage in a quiet, relaxing activity and give your body/mind/spirit a
vacation. Try to do this each day for a week, making notes each day
of the process and how it has affected you.
