Success Formula: Goal = Wish + Deadline
I love the saying that a goal without a deadline is just a wish. What do you wish for in your life? It can be fun to dream of finding a magic lamp with the genie inside, and you get your three wishes instantly. I’m still looking for that lamp…
But something different can happen when you put a deadline on your wish. The deadline means you want to take a daily baby step, if not a big leap, to reach it. It means that you really want to focus your life on making this thing happen and you choose to give it serious priority time. It means that you are going to shoot for the stars and at least aim to hit the moon.
True, it can take some planning, research and effort to make your wishes come true. With so many people in transition these days, now is a good time to look at what you wish for and see if you are headed in the right direction. Try writing down your wishes, and put a date on the ones you really want to come true.
