Is Staying Busy Good Enough?

Home Based Business

Do you find yourself running crazy like a mouse on a wheel but going no where fast?

Have you spent weeks, months even years trying to create a full time in your business?

How many times has your upline told to get to get to work, take massive action, stay focused, do the numbers?

How many times have you said that to yourself?

It gets frustrating, disappointing and can be down right depressing.

External influences (people telling you what to do) rarely work.

That’s not what leadership is about (just my opinion).

The strong leaders that I admire lead by example.

Meaning their actions speak louder than their words.  They never ask people to do what they aren’t doing.

There is a fine line here that we must be mindful of. I know from first hand experience that the level of effort that I put forth can and has at times intimidate people. They say I would never want to do that.

I love what I do. It is who I am and what I do.

Getting motivation to do the activities to succeed has to come from within.

Successful leaders become that way because they do certain actions to create a certain outcome.

Successful people our profession focus on recruiting and retailing.

Make sense?

The great news about the network marketing profession is that anyone can succeed.

The bad news about the network marketing profession is that most people do not succeed. Why? They don’t work on themselves or their business.

Over the last couple of days I have been reading “Leadership: Tidbits and Treasures” by Chris Brady and Orrin Woodward.  It’s a great book packed with great leadership wisdom.

I read the chapter called “It is not enough to be busy…” it really got me thinking so I decided to do my radio show on the Home Business Radio Network last Wednesday on this topic.  Here it is, I hope this make you stop and think like it did me.

Give some real thought today to what is your ideal outcome.

What path are you on?  And are you on track?

Do you find yourself moving closer to your goals? Or just running in place…

It is a hard journey? Or is it an easy journey?

Are you looking for a sign?

Is it time for a shift in your actions or thinking or relationships or company?

This is the part that only you can figure out because this is about you.

If you want a free 15 minute coaching session complete the contact form at the lower right. And we’ll see if we can get you going down the right path.

My time is pretty limited right now because my business is absolutely exploding. I have not had this much fun in 15 years.  Isn’t that the way it is supposed to be?

One last question, what are you busy about today?

If you have questions or comments please leave them below. PLEASE share this post with your team members and your other friends in the MLM profession. They will THANK YOU!

You are so right Terry and I hate that when that happens. lol…

In all seriousness though, we are responsible for our own actions. We all have a decision to make and there is no room for excuses. Hey, I’ve made plenty of my own and I admit it and I own them.

I know for me, being coached by someone like you is huge. You have called me out on so much that I realized I was doing and what I didn’t realize I was doing. I know that I’ve always attracted the people to me that I feel sorry for and those are the ones that will drain our energy. I still have a lot of work to do on myself and I’m making great progress. I have you to thank for that.

If anyone wants to finally break those barriers and you’re willing to do the work, Terry is your guy. You’ll never get a more honest person who cares about you by your side.

Great message Terry and I’ll be sharing this one as well.

Thanks Adrienne for the kind words.

My goal is simple: Make People Better.

I believe that each of us have the responsibility to create the best version of ourselves. This allows us to be fully capable of helping others, touching other’s lives, impacting the world around us, and leaving a legacy.

It is about becoming the real you: the one who lives a life that truly makes a difference. It is about our own journey of personal development and fulfillment of our potential.

I am assembling a new team/community to align powerful people, thoughts, words, deeds, and actions with the intention of making a difference. I call it creating a better quality of life.

If you are reading this and don’t know me that well, watch my story at you will get me after that.

If being part of this team / mission is attractive to you please private message me…let’s pay it all forward and make the world a better place.

    Hi Terry,

It is definitely not enough to be busy! It is all about efficiency as Network Marketing success is measured by results. We have to be productive!
‘Keeping the main thing the main thing.’ So true!

I agree with you that ‘we have to give up things to get things’. I have given up my gym membership, a lot of my recreation time and some of my too much social time in order to get enough of my necessary tasks done!

As leaders, we need to value our time. We need to work closely with those who have a strong desire to succeed. They are the ones who deserve our time.

I appreciate your insights, especially the one about purpose in life, Terry! I do hope that many people can make that shift about reading this post!
