Why do you do what you do?

If you are like me, all too often as you are developing your business and are focused on your goals you loose sight of why on why we are so busy in the act of doing.

Doing does not lead to fulfillment, giving does.

Think about that.

How are you giving to your community?

Below is an awesome message from one of my mentors Tony Robbins who hit a cord with me as I watched it.  I hope it will do the same for you.

Many people want to know how to build a successful online business.  The answer is to be seen as a person of influence which is the truest definition of leadership.

How do you do this? You must give. What can you give?

Your knowledge. Your experiences. Your life lessons.

It’s what every person in MLM or network marketing wants more of . . . unique, fresh leads.

Creating your own MLM business leads is not an easy task (at first) but once you learn the skills, you will have people coming to you. It is one of the smartest and best activities you can do to increase your income.  Don’t go over board and go into 100% in education mode. Life and this business is about balance. You must continue to prospect and present your business.

FACT: Money Follows Skills.

Investment in yourself and in your business. then you will get to that pot of gold with fresh, unique leads.

Some people buy leads, others try to get them for free. Unfortunately, the quality is terrible. These are not verified and screened and typically a total waste of time. I have spent thousands of dollars on leads but they are normally horrible quality.  Trust me on this one.

How do you create your own leads?

You must create sales funnels. You must capture their info and then market to them.

You say you don’t know how to do that…my response is that’s perfect…figure out how to do it.

I highly recommend getting plugged into a system that will teach you the ropes. Use a system like the 7 Figure Networker System. It is by far the easiest system to learn from.

Creating MLM business leads is easy once you have the skills.

With the internet, it is now possible for you to create your own network marketing leads which are real AND unique.

Remember these tips when you generate your own real time MLM leads.

1. Create your own sales funnels that stands out from the regular websites. Put your personality into it. Sell yourself as a teacher and answer the questions on your prospect’s mind.  Describe your experience and share why you joined your business and what you offered your team members when they join you. Use curiosity.  Here are some examples:  http://ItIsUpSideDown.com and http://Why-Numis.com

2. Once you have created your own website, create an auto responder series to provide additional information at regular intervals and make offers to partner with you. Find a way to add value to your prospect. Do webinars and conference calls and offer value.

3. Creating MLM leads isn’t the most critical task. What really matters is building a relationship with every MLM lead (they are really a person just like you). Gain trust by offering value and you will be a MLM lead magnet.

Please don’t be lazy in your skill development.

Create a plan (hire a coach if you need to), set goals and take action. When you do these things you will be on your way to controlling the number of leads you get and be in control of your income.  And that my friend, is a beautiful thing.

One of the biggest problems most networkers face is not having enough people to talk to and to present their business to.

It is vitally important to plant the seed today so you can reap the harvest tomorrow.  Once you figure online marketing out this comes a no-brainer.  Until then, the fastest way to get into profit is to talk to people you already have a relationship with.

Keep it simple.

Don’t be attached to their response. If they are interested perfect. If they are not interested perfect.

Once you get people enrolling into your business do NOT stop recruiting.  Just because they enroll, it does not mean they are going to do anything.   In this video, I share more on why you must always be planting seeds if your desired outcome is a bumper crop of money!

1. Be a Person of Vision. Know where you are going. Say to yourself, “I’m going to be a MLM millionaire by helping people to become successful with online marketing!” This will fuel you and your vision.

2. Be a Person of Passion. Speak your words in text and videos…that’s what online marketing is all about. You must believe you can succeed! Then take your message out to the world.

3. Be a Leader With Out Fear! Go out there and make it happen. Don’t worry about what other people think. Teach others how to avoid the mistakes you made. Add value to the market place. Don’t be a victim, be proactive. Take the lead. Don’t expect people to do things for you. Surround yourself with peers you trust and respect. There is nothing out there that you can’t have. You must be willing to develop the skills to make it happen. Don’t hold on to the negativity, it does NOT serve you.

4. Be a Teacher. Take what you learn and share it. Become a valued resource to others. Become a success by guiding your team. Everyone will benefit.

5. Have Clarity. Know who you want to work with and who you want to attract. There’s a BIG difference between recruiting and building your business. Have a long term vision for success.

6. Practice Relentlessly. Practice the basics. If you want to be the best at what you do then do it more and better than anyone else. Be Excellent. Demand more from yourself than anyone else.

7. Become a Master of Marketing! Learn, practice and teach marketing strategies. Start with one then master it.  Devote at least 4-6 weeks to it then learn another then another.  This is a wash-rinse and repeat formula for success!

Here’s a truth… We all have to make a living some how.

The reason I got involved with this industry was to improve the Quality of Life for my family.

How about you, why did you get started and why are you in this industry?

When I first got started, I worked my butt off trying to create the financial abundance and quality of life I dreamed about.  In my first company, I was awarded New Director of the Year out of about 65,000 people.  That was back in 1995.  The CEO of the company flew down to North Carolina and told me that I was going to be the first first person to earn a million dollars in that company. I looked at the trends and I could never see it happening. I realized it was time to make a change.

I got in involved with two other companies and just could not get the business to grow.  The trends did not look good so, it was time for a change. You see I knew my desired outcome and I was not heading in that direction.

Then I got involved with  a wellness company.  I thought that I would build that business for the rest of my life.  I loved the products, the people and the mission. I climbed to the top quickly.

In 2005, I become a member of the Million Dollar Club and have been a top income earner for over ten years. In fact, I still am.

The truth is things change.

As in all areas of life, companies change,compensation plans change, business environments change and relationships change.

I was naive at one point in my professional life and did not believe this truth. But, with age comes wisdom.  HA!

Once again, the trends did not look good.

In March 2010, I had another realization.

If I was going to meet my financial goals (time goes by so fast, I’m almost 53) I had to change things.  And do it quickly because the current trends were not pretty.

Why?

The reason is the same.

To improve the quality of life for my family.

We now have a grandchild on the way, due to arrive in October and Amy and I want to be there as much as we possibly can.

Some call it divine intervention, others refer to it as providence, I called being open to receive and smart enough to take action.

Numis Network came into my life.

I did my due diligence on Numis and was blown away. The deeper I looked the better it looked.

Here’s why I joined Numis…

My belief is the best way help the poor is to not be one.

The path we chose can be easy or it can be difficult.

Note: It does not have to be difficult.

It is interesting to observe people and the relationships they have and the choices they make.  Some people seem to have it all going for them while others seem to struggle, have drama and a constant challenges.

I believe life is about choices.

I have found that success people do things differently then unsuccessful people.  It is the slight edge in activity and choices that make a difference in who we become and the lifestyle we create.

One of my challenges is that I am loyal to a fault. I’ve always been that way. But, at the end of the day, I get strength and courage because I know it is about caring for and protecting my family.

Amy and I just celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary.  We are so excited about life and so grateful for everything that we have and everything that is front of us. The trends look amazing!

My mission in business is to help as many people as I can to create the quality of life they desire. It is not always easy but it sure is worth it.

What I want for you is to have everything you desire.

What do you want for you? What are you willing to do to get it? Will you chose the path of least resistance? Will you use slight edge thinking?

Time will tell.
